Meet Bonnie

Hello, I’m Bonnie. I’m heading towards 60—although I’m not there just yet!

I’ve always loved fashion and, if I’m honest, I can sometimes be a little bit of a brand snob. I inherited my love of beautiful clothes from my mum, and I’ve always believed that what we wear can make a real difference to how we feel.

Many years ago, I became seriously ill and was fortunate enough to receive a double transplant. My health journey has also affected my eyesight, and life hasn’t always been easy. Finding work in retail can be difficult too, especially living in a quiet part of the country between the sea and the moors.

I have been happily married to my wonderful husband, Martin, for over 20 years. He is my greatest supporter and has helped make BonBons possible—I know how truly lucky I am to have him. We also have our beautiful dog, Lola, who is very much part of the family.

One day, I thought: why not create something of my own?

That idea became BonBons. The name was an easy choice: I’ve always been Auntie BonBon, Nana BonBon and simply BonBon to my friends. BonBons is personal to me in every way.

I created my shop to offer beautiful clothing and designer brands at much more affordable prices. Not everything is high-end designer, because everyone has a different budget, but every item has been chosen with care.

For me, BonBons isn’t just about selling clothes—it’s about helping people. Perhaps you have a special occasion coming up and don’t know what to wear, or maybe you’ve spotted something in my shop but aren’t sure whether it will suit you. Send me a message and I’ll happily help with ideas.

We all have lumps, bumps and parts of ourselves we don’t always love, but every one of us deserves to feel confident and special. Sometimes life isn’t easy, and sometimes you really should treat yourself—because you truly deserve it.
